Tracee Ellis Ross came with the heat y’all!

You all know my genuine love for Pattern Beauty. They preach self-acceptance, and they truly tell our story. When I saw Tracee launched the Pattern Beauty blow dryer, a “curl conscious” tool that was designed with the goal of reframing the natural hair community’s relationship with heat, I just knew I had to get my hands on it and give it a try.

The Natural Hair Community has preached for many years, heat is the enemy, given traditional heat tools have beaten our texture into submission. I personally started my natural hair journey without a curl sight, given the heat damage from flat irons, so I am very conscientious when using heat. I am not alone in this hesitancy with heat and Tracee drew on her own experience with heat to create a tool that would ease our worries. The Pattern Beauty blow dryer was created with “us” naturals in mind, a tool that was created with heat that was not damaging to our texture.
